An Encouraging Word for the end of Summer-2007 by David Nelson (9-8-07) (Also some comments on the two articles “Everything is Upside Down” letter to Marc White and “An Underworld Conspiracy” by Annie Schisler)
Here are some thoughts for my brothers and sisters for the end of the Summer of 2007. We will be changed to be like the world if we take in too much worldly influence and don’t reject it from our minds and spirits. What is important to the world, in general, should not be our priorities. But the Lord will show us everything that He deems important and what He specifically wants each of us to concern ourselves with each day. What is important? What is important to the Lord? We must see what is important to Him: (1) People are important to Him and (2) spending time getting to know the Lord, and being with Him. Can we help someone, can we have a growing connection or relationship with others getting to know them so that we can help them, or so that they can help us? Open, trusting relationships can be good, where people can be open with each other and more transparent with each other (less guile, pretense, games, and masks).
We may have “10 things” that we want to do each day that we feel are important. We may spend time watching TV (hopefully we are learning something the Lord wants us to know), doing errands, finishing items on our “to do” list, but we may only be “dabbling” in the things that the Lord deems more important. We should spend time with the Lord each day. We may need to ask Him to increase our awareness of and more time spent in “His important things” and to decrease our time in “lesser things.” You might call these “lesser things” children’s toys. (see I Cor. 13:11) As we rise up closer to the Lord we leave “the toys.” Look at each person that you meet or see or have opportunity to connect with as chances to win them closer to the Lord. But we must be closer to Him ourselves to have a good effect on others. So, let’s be closer to the Lord, think of Him, thank Him for things that are good in our lives, spend time waiting on Him and watching with Him. A watchman’s job is just to look and listen. What do you hear? What do you see? Watch with the Lord. He will show you things as you desire to hear and see things from Him.
Actually, if you want to be a prophetic voice for Him (would that all God’s people were prophets (Num. 11:29)) just be a witness of what you see and hear from Him. That’s what I want, to see and hear something from Him and then declare it, being a witness of what I have seen and heard (like you would testify in a court room as a witness of what you have seen and heard). It says in the Word that there are brethren around us who have the testimony of Jesus (what He shows us and what He has done for us), and the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Rev. 19:10) That’s what Jesus did, what He saw and heard from the Father that’s what He did and spoke.
In Annie Schisler’s article “An Underworld Conspiracy” the evil that is infiltrating the world is a great darkness. In Isaiah 60:2 it says “a great darkness will cover the earth and the people.” This darkness can also infiltrate into us as Christians if we go along with the current of the world, accepting their values, and what is important to them becomes what is important to us. But if we fight this darkness, rejecting each attempt to suck us in, or if we will throw off every worldly weight that besets us or that constantly weighs us down, or is slowing us down, then we will keep His light shining in our hearts and spirits and we will keep the right priorities in our relationship with the Lord intact and growing. Also, we must have a desire to help others know Him, and we should want to have a flow of grace going out to others. To do this we must have love for others (this will be created in us more and more by God) and we must seek to have more connections with others to touch their hearts and draw them into the Lord’s circle.
The “surrendered ones” or “reigning ones” Annie Schisler speaks of are to have “an anointing” to touch others. We will be light in a great darkness and at times we may not even know the great effects we are having. But we must continually run to our source, the one who completely understands all relationships, and we must keep ourselves right with the Lord, close to Him, ever running to Him. He wants us to keep close to Him. He will orchestrate circumstances to push us to Him, He is our Shepherd, to keep us in the right Pasteur, and not straying too far off. We must value very highly a close walk with the Lord, keep it, tend to it, longing to create a closer tie with Him.
He wants us “by His side.” Show us every day, Lord, how to get by your side, and to stay by your side. This is your great purpose, Lord, let us tune our ears to hear how to do this every day. Let us hear, let us come, call us, Lord, please don’t give up on us! May we hear the call each day, make progress each day, and be “anointed ones” to draw others to you also.

It's summertime here in the USA! Hope everyone is having a chance to relax a bit, be with family and friends, perhaps see some of God's beautiful creation.
The earth is the Lord's and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
For He has founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the waters.

Excerpts from an article by Al Thomas titled, “I AM GOING TO RESURRECT MINISTRIES THAT HAVE GONE DORMANT” (with some additional thoughts by David Nelson in parentheses, 7-24-07)
God says: “PREPARE FOR THE RESURRECTION OF YOUR VISION”
If your vision is from Me (the Lord) it will rise (just like the seed that germinates in its time).
I (the Lord) may have put your vision or dream on hold, and no matter what you have tried, nothing seems to work (little or no fruit). It may be that your vision was more important than Me (and you had to come to know Me 1st). The vision (ministry) may have been given more attention than I was. (Now I call you to pay more attention to Me). No matter how glorious your vision (your goals or ministry) is, it cannot be bigger than Me…the One who gave it. You are coming into the place of knowing you don’t need ministry to be fulfilled in your heart. You need Me.
You will learn my ways and my timing that is not the same as yours. Only when I say go, do you move out. My instructions may be heard when you are still before Me. You are learning that it is a mistake to “do” for Me before have “heard” from Me. I go at what some call a slower pace, yes, I can move suddenly too, but I am moving at the pace of Love. My speed is designed to allow you to slow down and fellowship with Me.
You are learning that all growth comes from Me. You are to water as I direct (I Cor. 3:6-7) and do the things I show you. But my life and growth and new birth come from above (from Me).
Your greatest joy will not be ministry but relationship with Me. An army is about to be raised up with this great truth reverberating in their spirit: “I love the Lord more than I love to minister.” (Another way to put this is: I choose 1st to love the Lord, whatever ministry doors He opens to me I welcome any way that I can serve Him and His people. Could I be satisfied with Him alone if nothing ever opens again? May He be pleased with my obedience to this point, and may I always to be ready to obey as He leads. May He also be pleased with my fellowship with Him to this point and lead me ever closer to Himself. May my fellowship with His people increase more and more as it pleases Him, that we might mutually encourage one another).
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (or be late, but it will come at the perfect time in My plans). Habakkuk 2:3

BASICS OF DISCIPLESHIP-True Repentance-Part 2
Scripture verses referenced in this study:
Colossians 3:5-12, 1:28
In Col. 3: 5-12, it says to put off or put to death what is earthly in you. We should put off earthly things and put on spiritual things and become more spiritual. This is a continuing repentance. Rom 12:2 says, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Don’t be conformed to the world. Don’t become like the world. The path of the world, the path of flesh that will bring death. The path of the Spirit, sowing to the Spirit, will bring life. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Don’t be conformed to the world. Don’t be tempted to go the world’s way but be transformed. Be changed. As your mind is being renewed; as God shows you things, put off the old and put on the new and you will become more mature in God. This is continuing repentance.
God’s goal for us, is to come to more and more maturity. God’s goal for us is to come into the fullness of Christ. In
One of the important things that God is trying to teach us, is that many times in our life we are holding onto things that are toys. When we were children, we loved toys. We played with toys. We loved to get toys at Christmas. Do you remember ever coming down on Christmas morning or on Christmas Eve, whenever you open presents and opening a whole bunch of toys. How would you like to get a whole bunch of toys this Christmas for yourself? No, you wouldn’t want them for yourself because you are beyond toys right now. God, as we go down this path of life, is teaching us to let go of toys as we grow up. Wherever we are in our Christian walk, he is leading us on to become more mature and more holy. Whatever we are holding on to that is a toy, as we grow up and as God helps us to grow up it is sometimes painful to let go. There are growing pains. It is not easy, sometimes, to let go of the past and to go on. But God doesn’t want things to control us. God wants us under Him and under his kingship.
Let’s look at Heb. 12. It will give us some good thoughts about repentance and this continuing walk. In Heb 12:5 it says, “Have you forgotten the exhortation which addresses you as sons. My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord....” If you were a child and you had to learn to grow up, there has to be some discipline. This is NOT right what you are doing, this is child’s stuff that you are doing; this is playing in the street or eating too much candy. “Oh, I WANT my candy. Oh, I WANT to play in the street. Oh, I WANT to touch that expensive vase.” No, you can’t touch that. No, you can’t play in the streets in front of the cars. No, you can’t eat candy all day long, it is not good for you. Oh, I WANT……and it is painful. “Do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord.” Take seriously His discipline. Don’t lose courage when you are punished by Him. Don’t lose courage when He is correcting you or he makes you see that you fall flat on your face or that you don’t really know the way. The Lord disciplines him whom He loves. He chastises every son whom He receives. So, if you are chastised, or you feel discipline, or you feel his correction, you are blessed, because He loves you. He is trying to correct you and get you going on the right way. Verse 7, “It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there that his father does not discipline.” God is going to discipline us. He wants us to grow up. “If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.” People who claim to be Christians, who don’t know anything of the discipline of the Lord, they don’t know anything of suffering under God’s discipline or being punished by God, or being chastised by Him, or being corrected by Him—which is not a pleasant thing, have deceived themselves, for all sons must be corrected. In verse 11 it says, “For the moment, all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant.” It is not pleasant as the Lord is correcting you and making you grow and stretching you into new areas, but, later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. People who claim to be Christian who don’t know what it means to be chastised by the Lord, who don’t know what it means to be corrected by the Lord, who don’t know what it means to be lead by the Lord and changed by him, and birthed into growth areas and new plateaus of closeness to the Lord, if you don’t know that, you are an illegitimate son, not really a son at all. Only those who are trained by his discipline will yield the peaceful fruit of righteousness. We have to listen to God. Sometimes, we don’t listen to Him and we suffer for it, but when we do we get changed. So, it says here, verse 9, “Besides, we have had earthly fathers to discipline us, we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of Spirits, and live. For they disciplined us for a short time at their pleasure.” We grew out of their discipline and went off on our own into the world and grew up, got married, or did whatever. They disciplined us for a short time. But God disciplines us for our good that we may share His holiness. God is making us more holy as He changes us. For the moment, all discipline seems painful but as we are trained by it, as we yield to it, as we move into new areas and grow and repent and change and have to turn from our old ways into His new ways, we will become more holy. In verse 14 it says, “Strive for peace with all men and strive for holiness, without which no one will see God.” You have got to become more holy or you will not see God. You have got to share his holiness. He is disciplining us for our good that we may share His holiness. We have got to bear the fruits of righteousness and be trained by his discipline. God loves us and he is working on us and he is not through with us. This is a process that we are going through.
“Without holiness, no one will see God.” It says, he who is not exercised or trained by his discipline is an illegitimate son and not a real son. A verse in Rom. 8 says, “Those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.” We have to be led by the Spirit. We have to have a relationship with Christ. We have to know Christ and let Him speak to us and change us and mold us. No, we are not perfect. No, we don’t always obey Him, but we know that we are being changed. We know that we are becoming more like Him. We know that we are being stretched and because of that training we know that we are not illegitimate sons—we are true sons and daughters of God. Those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God. We must be led by the Spirit and have a relationship with Christ and that is the continuing repentance. In II Cor 6, verse 14, it says, “Do not be mismated with unbelievers. For what partnership have righteousness or iniquity? What fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? What has a believer in common with an unbeliever?” We have been changed to such a degree that the closer we are to God, the more we want to have fellowship with God and the more we want to have fellowship with those who love God and have fellowship God. It is just like a natural longing. What do we have in common with a unbeliever? Yes, we both have two legs and two eyes and we both love to eat food and we both love to talk about the weather—but this is human, this is not the spiritual part. The spiritual part longs to be with people who love God and who can fellowship in God and who, themselves, fellowship with the Lord and because they do they can fellowship with you. This is what we long for. We are like a fish in spiritual water. Sometimes when we talk to unbelievers it is like being tossed on dry land. How can we fellowship in the Spirit? But as we live in the Spirit, we can be that shining light, even to the unbelievers; where they will know when they are with you that they have been with someone that is with Christ. II Cor. 6 goes on to say, “What agreement has the

My children much is coming
Much is coming
Come do not look to the left or to the right
You can no longer avert the disasters that are coming
They will come in a row one after another
Come one after another
You can no longer control outcomes by your might
You can no longer blame it on someone else
You can no longer delay judgment
You can no longer hold back my hand
You can no longer hold back my anger
My anger towards evil
My anger has now risen
You can no longer deny where we are in time
You can no longer pretend that you do not know
You can no longer pretend nothing is wrong
You can no longer avert my anger
You have cried out and cried out
Peace, peace where there is no peace
Peace, peace where there is only false peace
You know me not
I will no longer wink at sin
I will no longer stand by and watch evil go on
I will no longer watch evil stand as a standard
I will not allow disrespect and irreverence in my kingdom
I will no longer allow my house to be in ruins
I will no longer allow my house to be used as man’s agenda
I will no longer allow my pulpits be a whipping post
I will no longer allow my truth to be denied
I will no longer allow my house to be used as monetary gain
I will no longer allow my house to be a political forum
I will no longer allow my house be a place to hide,
A place to hide your sin
I will no longer allow my house to lie in ruins and my truth ignored
I will no longer allow my people to be used and abused
I will no longer allow my people to be kept in bondage
I will no longer allow my name to be taken in vain
I will no longer allow a divided heart
I will no longer allow darkness to be a standard
I will bring light into my land
Into my people
Into my churches
I will shine light into the darkness
There will be a great crying out on the land
You will not be able to comfort the cries without my Love
You will not escape my judgment
Judge yourselves lest you be judged
Come the darkness is getting darker
Hide yourself under my wings
Come, come to me.
Do not leave yourself uncovered
Much is coming that you can not control
Much is coming that is out of your control
Come do not be caught off guard

Don’t delay in knowing me
Don’t delay in attaching yourself to me
And know not the ways of the world
Come you are in danger of leaning on your own understanding
Come walk this way
Do not go the way of the world
The path is narrow
The oath is narrow
My ways are not your ways
My ways are not your ways
Evil cannot stand in my sight
Come turn from doing evil
Come pattern yourselves after me
Pattern yourselves after me
Do not copy the world
Do not follow the world and its ways
Come out of her my people

Do not ignore my hand in your life
Do not ignore my presence in this land
Do not deny my hand in your life
Do not look back
Look at me
Keep your eyes on me
Keep your eyes on me
Darkness and Light can’t exist together
For they have nothing in common
For I hate what is evil
I hate darkness
It cannot exist in the light
I did not create you to be evil
I created you to be righteous and walk in the light
Come out of darkness
Come out of darkness
Walk in the light
Walk in the light
